  • How Many Times Should I Brush My Teeth a Day?

    Keeping your teeth clean is important for your dental health. You should get a professional dental cleaning performed every six months. In some cases, people may need them every three months while others can go as many as 12 months between cleanings.

    Plaque is a sticky film of bacteria that constantly forms on teeth from the mixture of food and saliva in your mouth. 

  • What is Periodontal Disease?

    The Centers for Disease Control’s definition of periodontal disease is “the result of infections and inflammation of the gums and bone that surround and support the teeth”. In its early stages, it is called gingivitis. Periodontal disease can lead to the gums pulling away, teeth loosening and falling out, and bone loss.

  • How Do You Treat Periodontal Disease?

    There are many periodontal disease treatment options for you to choose from. Treatment options include regularly brushing and flossing your teeth, root planing, antibiotics, soft tissue grafts, and scaling. 

  • Are Dental Implants Permanent?

    Generally, dental implants are permanent. They are attached to your mouth through a screw that is screwed into your jawbone. Most implants are intact after 10 years.

  • What is TMJ Therapy?

    TMJ therapy is the treatment of TMJ which causes pain and discomfort in the joint that connects the jaw to the skull. 

  • At What Age Should I Start Taking My Child to the Dentist?

    According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, you should start scheduling dental visits for your child beginning at the age of about 6 months to a year at the latest.
